…And just in time for the annual holiday gift-grab pilgrimage of Little Idiot. It’s been a very quiet year for me but I know once the holidays start to roll around, I’ll once again he ripping my hair out.

Ah, the annual holiday gift-grab. I've not forgotten the year when SD29 refused to come over unless DH quit smoking and expected SS23 bring her DH's annual cash gift. She pitched major hissy fits and DH used that money to take me out for a $$$ dinner. Thankfully, SD29 has grown up.

Funny you should mention the annual gift grab! DH hasn’t heard from SD in a couple of months. Just yesterday she sent him photos of the grands. So it starts. DH is over the moon.
Last year she got zero, zip from us. I didn’t even send my homemade cookies. Betcha DH caves somewhat this year, but my kitchen remains closed.

Ah, yes...Merry Gift Grab Day quickly approaching. In our world, that used to mean cash. We ended that many years ago. And DH has stood strong on that and also with his Grands.
The dynamics have changed some here...a bit of mixing with DHs kids. Not enough for me to change how I feel about Gift Grab Day but it may impact DH. We shall see. LOL

I count myself lucky that Skidult never darkens my doorstep (I do live in mortal fear of him finding a girlfriend/wife, has kids) since Skidult launched to BM’s embrace. My DH sends Skidult a normal amount in a gift card or whatever although I’m certain Skidult says nothing to DH about DH birthday, fathers’ day etc. I’m completely disengaged so I say nothing but if DH says something about seeing Skidult it triggers me.
Skidult permanently moved out. *phew*
