It’s that time of year again! I’m back!

Good evening friends,

I’m back again for another nightmare holiday season of grifting! Little Idiot (SD25.5) is coming again for the annual Christmas gift grab pilgrimage from FL with her new boyfriend (The Fool - yes, The Fool after a uneventful … except for LI getting the CLAP that is… year they are apparently still together). Guess who wants to pay for both tickets? Guess what we just had a fight about? Yup DH - he’s starting off the season by extra Disney Dad-ish. After he buys all the fancy upgrades and the checked bag and the seat selection we are probably looking at $1k+ this year for the tickets alone.

Here I was hoping it was better news.
Where's the bang-head-against-a-brick-wall gif? Ish.

Oh no. I'm so sorry. If he buys those tickets, I think you deserve a $1000+ night or two at a posh hotel with a spa. Massage, cucumbers on the eyes (lol), champagne, the works.

When someone shows you who they are, believe them.

Sadly a leopard doesn't change its spots. These brats are getting older but maturity evades them.

The Animal Torturer turned 27 yesterday.  I didn't even bring it up and Chef never mentioned it.

Irritating....I used to just go along with all those extra expenses (joint account) sounds like you guys have separate which is SMART. Nowadays I am breadwinner in our family and I won't stand for my hard earned dollar going to silly crap - that's on these adult SKIDs. If DH wants to purchase a reasonable plane ticket I ok it but I hope everyone understands I get NOTHING OUT of this and I am paying for it. They are not even nice to me when they come or help out at all, so I'd be thrilled when I no longer have to shell out anything. I think at 30 it's probably time for them to handle their own. Crazy...30?! I was handling myself in my early 20s....

Oh my gosh YES. We’re retired but my income is 2/3. And i hold the fun money too. Any money i fork over for skids I do for DH. Fortunately, they’ve stopped asking, except for SD who still expects us to lavish her kids with cash and gifts even though she doesnt talk to DH and won’t let him see his grands. He’s pretty good about keeping it reasonable.

I REJOICE in not making that required pilgrimage to Skidville.

YES Merry- I rejoice because I don't go to SKIDville at all any more - I have placed an embargo on that. IF they visit then I have to put up with it but I am not taking a minute of my precious time to visit them on their turf. HECK NO.

Start clapping every time she enters a room  on her next visit.  I have a good friend who retired as an Army nurse. Every time a soldier would come in for an STD, the nurse leading them to an exam room would clap while leading down the hallway to an exam room to let all of the healthcare workers that the individual was infectious.

She likely will not understand the connection between the clapping and.... her bout with the clap.

Was the fool with her last year? Or was it she just sat in her “room” the entire time she was there?

Will BI ever stop paying for LI’s flavor of the week? On the bright side at least she’s still in FL.

1K for tickets alone. Yikes, that's a tough pill to swallow. Sorry. That makes me start to count my blessings. Despite the unwanted pop-ins from SDiabla 26&28, at least DH isn't shelling out for them anymore. (Well, mostly, the New Year is the official financial cut off date for YSD.) I have reason to believe DH is really going to cut off the $$. That reminds me, I am so glad the days of shelling out to BM are long over.
