Many years ago, we got our first cat (DH resisted for as long as he could - he was a dog man). When she was 7, she suddenly got ill, very ill. 1 week and two vet visits later, she died in DH's car on her way to a third visit. We were devastated. Heartbroken. Few days later, I  came home from work and she was sitting beside the pool. I blinked and she was gone.
