SD started school the second week of August. Her grades are already a C-, C-, D+, F, & F. I guess the only thing different is SD's grades are not typically this bad already and usually start to drop in October. DH messaged SD's new teacher just seeing how SD has been doing without giving any insight into anything and the teacher said SD is doing great, participating, asking for help when she needs it, etc. Well, in our opinion that is not great, but okay then. The teacher uses this app to post updates and said if any students do not hand in 5 assignments or do not have their chrome book charged 5 times in a quarter then they will have after school detention. Plus the parents will get a slip they need to sign each time either event happens and send back. Hopefully this stops SD from missing assignments which she has over the years.

BM is still being difficult about scheduling calls and being honest, but DH is not stirring up any drama just minimal communication with her. When we videochatted SD last weekend, she was wearing more make up than I wear and I wear eyeliner with wings. Same old that anything about BM land you ask, SD forgets, doesn't know, or some excuse even just asking what she had for breakfast if she mentioned just finishing breakfast prior to the phone call.

There is a child who spends a lot of time at BMs who is friends with SD's sister. This friend has a public tik tok that BM follows. Let's just say doesn't seem like the child is a good influence. Neither is BM as she is in a tik tok with the friend and SD's sister to a very inappropriate song for their age (turning 11). As I can't help myself and BM's state having public records discovered that this friend's parents are both felons for various things in the drugs and assault realm. So yeah, not looking forward to see what influence all that has on SD when we see her at Christmas. 

Like I said, new school year, but really the same old with SD and BM.
