    Taking up space

    I think a lot of my problems as a step parent, stemmed from my difficulty with taking up space.  I didn't stand up for myself and tended to "fade into the wallpaper".  I'm naturally a quiet person and my SDs are very loud.  This article is a long, but rewarding read on the subject of taking up space.
