This is a SILs in the IL clan thing.

BIL2's DD, our niece, turned 8 last week.  The family held a party for her B-day.  DW's sister who is in her late 30s injected some drama into the celebration.

I updated several months ago that SIL recently left her DH of 15+ years and walked out on her kids to chase after her GF.  

SIL showed up at our niece's B-day party with her GF's DD and that DD's young daughter.   I suspect that was to have them as a shield in an attempt to deflect any issues with the IL clan.  An unsuccessful plan as it turned out.  So, bring two uninvited substitute children guests to a family celebration where the two children (S-18, D-13) you recently walked out on are present?  I feel for our niece and nephew, SIL's kids, and for the GF's kids.  Some people truly have no busness ever breeding.  The children they create are far too often victims or even worse, they exist as conduits of unconditional love for their parent(s).



Apparently, our nephew-18 let his mom know in no uncertain terms what he thought about her and her GF's DD and GD invading the celebration.  SIL's game went over at the B-day celebration like a fart in church.

On another SIL note, BIL-2's DW is in college pursuing a degree in accounting. Which we celebrate and support.  Except for.... her repeated attempts to get DW to write her papers for her.  DW won't do her work for her.  This SIL is none too happy to get feedback on what she should do instead of DW just doing writing assignments for her.

As supportive as we are of the pursuit of education, some people truly have no business taking up seats in classrooms.  Or bandwidth in online degree programs. Though schools make a ton of money on students who take out a boatload of loans and never graduate.

The first SIL mentioned above is one of those who owes $6 figures on a degree she never completed.

My MIL shared DW's sister's antics at the B-day party with DW in a recent call.   MIL is none too happy with her youngest.  DW, and I, are both struggling and waffling between trying to be supportive of SIL's new LGBT..... journey and being protective of her kids and of her STBXH.
